If I wanted something simple then I would have reached for a glass of water. And for me, that is where simple ends. The rest of the choices we make, should be an absolute delight! Don't you think so? So let the decadence begin...

We have chose seven ranges to launch our product journey. Seven being the number of divine energy has absolutely nothing to do with it - well almost nothing, except for the divine and the energy bit... Every range has a theme woven around a story based on personal experiences. These stories pan out in front of you, weaving each magical tale, frame by frame.

Hence in most of the collections it was decided that we would keep each mat different - each, a piece of art in itself - showcasing yet another frame of the same story. This has now become our signature style. In every story we bring to you moments from different cultures, traditions and celebrations - narratives captured by our craftsmen and expressed on fabrics with love, care and abundance.

The entire process begins with animated discussions over steaming coffee and sumptuous nibbles. Ideas are thrown around, caught for another day or at times, simply stared down. Eventually, fighting it's way through a clutter of 'super fabulous but not this time', each idea makes its way to the design sheet. Then the colour palette, fabric choices and a myriad of thread options are accepted and rejected over more coffee, as silk and metallic threads jostle to impress us.

The fabrics used in these collections are made to order and mostly sourced directly from weavers, as was done in the times gone by. A few of the fabrics are custom made to achieve a particular shade or colour mix that just isn't out there. Getting the fabric ready is a journey by itself. The weavers listen to our color and fabric requirements and slowly but surely weave our imagination into reality. And they definitely take their time rolling out these wonderful textures, but then whose complaining - definitely not us! With beautiful colors prepped on lush fabrics we have the most worthy canvas to eke out our unique concepts.

Next comes the very enjoyable task of translating the designed motifs onto fabric in such a way that threads can sing through them. Since all products are hand embroidered, the whole process is a labour of love. The assembly and stitching is also done with minimal machinery and that too hand driven.

Local artisans are gainfully employed for the entirety of the product creation journey. And if you look beyond the story on the fabric, you will notice their story as well. For they work with nostalgic hearts - eager hands humming the tunes of their ancestors. They are hopeful of once again breathing-in the glorious sunlight of the days of their young fathers, nimble fingers embroidering deftly, and listening to the forgotten narrations of grandeur witnessed by their grandparents...
